All our chargers feature multi-stage charge algorithms, in firmware, for ordered
chemistry. The Chemistry can be always changed by replacing a chip.
1. Switch-Mode Isolated Chargers:
EVC207: 1.6 KW Isolated Power-Factor-Corrected Charger
(Ordered for any 48V to 200V Battery from 115VAC, 208VAC or 230VAC line).

DESCRIPTION:
This advanced charger features Power Factor Correction (PFC), ISOLATION and MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL.
PFC makes input current sinusoidal and in phase with voltage. It helps your Meter register only the useful energy.
It blocks switching transients and provides high efficiency. It also provides wide input voltage range.
ISOLATION provides you electrical safety, against accidental touch to the battery, while car is plugged.
MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL makes it fully automatic. Its firmware driven algorithm provides care-free charge
of any battery chemistry (specify upon order).
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Input Voltage: 80 to 140VAC for 110V model & 180 to 260VAC for 220V model
Output Voltage: Depends on the ordered battery. For Lead-Acid, produces up to 2.6V per cell (up to 190V for 144V battery).
Output Current: is equal to 1600W divided by battery absorb voltage. For example for 84V battery, it produces 15A.
Efficiency: 90%
Isolation: The line input and battery output are galvanically isolated.
Connections: Terminal blocks for Line and Battery.
Controls & Configuration: Standard unit has no operator Controls or Adjustments. It automatically performs a multi-stage charge.
Firmware upgrades: is factory provided for future battery chemistries, upon or after purchase.
Temperature Sensor: Internal sensor measures ambient temp. It optionally can be extended to the battery.
Charge Phase Indications: by 3 LEDs.
Protections: Against over-current, over-heating, reverse battery connection and accidental output short.

(Ordered for Any 24 to 160V Battery from 115V or 230V AC)

DESCRIPTION:
This charger is Compact, Isolated, Switch Mode and Microprocessor controlled.
It has all the features of EVC207 except it has lower power (1.2KW) and has no PFC.
It is perfect to be installed on-board an EV, LSV, Utility Car, Tractor, Boat, or for any other industrial
application. It can stay connected to the battery in on-board use.
Standard EVC203 is offered for 24 to 160V battery, from 115VAC or 230VAC line.
Sealed models (EVC203S & EVC207S) are available for boat and wet applications.

DESCRIPTION:
This Isolated Converter automatically charges 12V accessory battery from the main
high voltage traction battery. Without it, you need 2 line charges; one for high
voltage traction battery and the other for 12V accessory battery.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
INPUT VOLTAGE: 48 to 200V DC (specify per order).
OUTPUT VOLTAGE :Adjustable 11V to 16V
OUTPUT CURRENT: It is limited to 20A and decreases as 12V battery becomes charged. Becomes zero when 12V
battery is fully charged.
PROTECTION: Input and Outputs are fuse protected..
ADJUSTMENTS: Internal Potentiometer to set maximum output battery voltage (factory set to 14.5V).
SIZE & WEIGHT: approximately 8x4x2 inches and 3 lb. Aluminum enclosure with mounting flange.
ENVIRONMENT: -20 to +45 °C operation
CHARGE ALGORITHMS:
All our chargers have microprocessor/Firmware-based charge algorithm. So, if you order your charger
for Lead Acid, you can always change it later, say to Lithium, by just replacing a chip.
The standard algorithm offered for Lead-Acid battery is as follows:
RAMP PHASE: The charger starts by ramping from 0 Amp to its maximum current.
BULK PHASE: It feeds maximum current, to battery, until its voltage reaches ABSORB value.
ABSORB PHASE: Keeps the battery voltage at ABSORB value (about 2.45 per cell). As battery is
charged, current drops. When current reaches 3A, it goes to PULSED EQUALIZATION.
PULSED EQUALIZATION: for 3 minutes, 2.55V / cell is applied for 30 sec and removed for 30 sec.
COMPETE PHASE: It stops or goes to FLOAT Mode (specify which) where 2.1V/ cell is applied.

2. Solar EV Chargers:

Install solar panels, on your car, truck, garage roof or a pole. Then, this charger will change
its voltage, and controls its current, to charge your EV; ether producing 115VA to use the
vehicle's own charger or 48 to 144V ( specify) to charge EV battery directly.
A station battery can be added too. Then, it collects day-time sun energy and charges EV at
night or cloudy days. This way, you can also charge your EV faster than directly from sun.
Our popular 48V scooter model uses 12V 80W panel (see the Charge station Section of this
website). It has a 12V 100AH station battery.
Our standard Electric Car model has a 1KW MPPT solar charger which takes 48V- 200 to
1KW solar panel, and 168V-400AH Station Battery. It can charge a 144V EV with 10A.
